In Module 6, we used GIS to determine where mountain lions might thrive in Oregon based on specific criteria: steep slopes over 9 degrees, forest cover, being close to rivers (within 2,500 feet), and staying away from highways (more than 2,500 feet).
We used two different approaches for analysis, both using Boolean grids, but one using vector analysis and one using raster analysis.
Unfortunately, between gigging 5 nights a week, school, and starting my student internship, I allowed time to slip away from me and I wasn't able to complete this assignment.
I'm extremely disappointed, as this is the first assignment for which I will have a low grade. I'm using it as a learning opportunity, and will be working harder in my next classes, focusing more on time management and the balance between my responsibilities.
